Appointments We aim to have appointments available to be booked up to 6 weeks ahead but sometimes that is not possible. Please either book online or telephone 709709 to request an appointment
Home Visits If you are unable to come to the surgery, the doctor may visit you at home if this is medically appropriate. (Patients who are housebound or too ill to come to the Practice). We ask that patients do not abuse this service as a home visit takes up approximately 4 to 5 normal appointment slots
From 1300 on Friday 25th May, our Repeat Prescriptions Service will move to Vision Online. From that point, you will not be able to order repeat prescriptions through the current service and will need to register for Vision Online services. If you are already registered for our online appointment booking service then you do not need to do anything as that is part of Vision Online Services. The new service is active already and the facility to order your repeat prescriptions will appear as a new ‘Tab’ the next time that you log on to Vision Online.
Unfortunately, there is one big difference between the old and the new service: you will need to register each member of your family with a separate username as the system links to your computer medical record (the old system was not integrated); you can’t simply order for everyone on one account. You can, however, have several usernames (accounts) linked to a single email address.
We are doing this because we need to do comply with the new General Data Protection Regulations that are coming into force and our old system does not provide sufficient data management functionality to be compliant.
Following my last email in November, nearly 700 patients registered for Vision online but there are still 2000 who are registered for the old prescribing service and not for Vision Online. If you need to register for Vision Online Services, please do so soon as it is a manual process for us and it will take some time to process 2000 registrations.
To register for Vision Online you have 2 options:

Please include your name, Date of Birth and Postcode.
You can include the details of any child under 12 years of age and we will allocate a separate username for them. However, patients over 12 years of age will need to register independently.
When you register, we will send you a code (token) plus other information that you will need to enter into the website to complete the process.
You will receive an order form attached to your repeat prescription which lists your repeat medicines. You should keep this order form safe until you require your next prescription.
When your medicines start to run low, (approximately one weeks supply left) please complete the order form by ticking the box next to each medicine that you require. Only order the medicines you need. If the medicines you need are not listed on the order form, write the name of the medicine and dose on the request slip.
If you do not have an order form, then write your request on a piece of paper with your full name, address and date-of-birth. List all the medicines you need to order with the name of each medicine, strength and dosage required. If you want your prescription to be collected by a Pharmacy (Chemist) write the name of the Pharmacy on the request slip, if not already printed on it.
Please note that we cannot accept orders for repeat prescriptions over the phone.
You can either:
If you are collecting your prescription from the Practice please allow two working days (not counting Saturday, Sunday or Public Holidays) for us to have the prescription ready. If you have asked for the prescription to be sent to a Pharmacy (Chemist) please allow, at least, three working days for the Pharmacy to have your prescription ready. If you require the prescription to be posted to you, please enclose a Stamped Addressed Envelope.
Help Us to Help You
For those patients on regular medicines, your medicines will be reviewed at least once a year. Sometimes the doctor will want to see you personally to carry out this review and you will be asked to attend the Practice.

Outside of 09:30 to 16:00, please call 01463 712233; one of the team will try to help you but for new requests and more complex issues, you may not get an answer until the specialist staff are in the next day.
If you are visiting Inverness and have lost/forgotten essential medication then you should, in the first instance, present at any Pharmacy. In most cases, the Pharmacist can issue emergency medication without the need for you to see a GP.
For certain medications, a GP appointment will still be needed. You can request a GP appointment with any Practice in the area but you may not get an appointment the same day.
If collecting from the Surgery, please allow 3 working days for us to process your prescription. If you have elected to collect direct from a pharmacy, please allow an extra day for your prescription to be sent to the pharmacy and processed.
